Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues and Esteemed Guests,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to our training program on Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME), organized in collaboration with the University of Manchester. This initiative marks a significant step forward in our commitment to enhancing medical education across Egypt.
As we gather here, we are united by a shared vision: to equip our future healthcare professionals with the competencies they need to excel in an ever-evolving medical landscape. This program will delve into critical topics, including the WHO frameworks and the rationale behind CBME, the theory of clinical reasoning, and innovative approaches to assessment and clinical debriefing.
We are privileged to host dedicated staff and program directors from various universities across Egypt. Your diverse experiences and insights will enrich our discussions and foster a collaborative learning environment. Together, we will explore best practices and strategies that can be implemented in our respective institutions, ultimately elevating the standard of medical education in our country.
I encourage each of you to engage actively, share your perspectives, and take full advantage of this opportunity to learn from one another. Let us work together to shape the future of medical education and ensure that our trainees are not only competent but also compassionate caregivers.
Thank you for being here, and I look forward to a productive and inspiring training program.
Warm regards,
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mamdouh Shoma
